So, I have finally registered with The Guild of Photographers who are a society committed to continually develop professional standards. The Guild is a professional body that supports photographers to ensure that they are delivering the highest standards to their customers through the photos they take and the products they produce. Through this body I will be aiming to eventually achieve their Master of Craftsmanship for both Wedding Photography and Newborn Photography, however there are a few very distinguished levels of excellence to achieve before finally reaching this stage, so watch this space!
Within my photography I am committed to improving with every single photo I take and there is a famous response to the question "What is your favourite photograph?" that I resinate with and the answer is "the photograph I take tomorrow". With my diploma as the foundation of my learning and the 5 years experience I have built up, I still have so much to learn.
As in any industry, the photography world is ever changing and therefore it is important to keep up with these advances, as well as sharing great ideas to do with lighting, settings, graphics, editing programs and even posing. Last year I became an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop and Illustrator and this has really pushed my newborn photography into a higher class of photography as well as my portrait photography, my clients no longer need to worry about those blemishes or wrinkles.
All I do know is that if you book in your wedding photography with me this year because you loved my portfolio, just imagine what I will be able to do by the time your big day approaches!
